Words On Dance is producing two evenings of live program content and screenings at Herbst Theatre, located in the San Francisco Performing Arts Center.  These programs, as the exclusive west coast event celebrating this special Robbins Anniversary, will be hosted by Amanda Vaill, author of the current bestselling biography, SOMEWHERE: The Life of Jerome Robbins.

• Jerome Robbins and His Theater  March 10, 2008 
  Herbst Theatre   7:30pm 
  Words On Dance devotes the first program exclusively to Robbins' direction and choreography in theater, and work translated to film.  The featured artists have a direct connection to working with Robbins and will illuminate their personal insight about their experience with Robbins, and create a dialog on how Robbins' work remains significant to the theater and them personally.
   
• Jerome Robbins  Ballet   March 17, 2008
  Herbst Theatre   7:30pm 
  Later in his life, Robbins' creative force and focus remained in classical ballet.  This program is a conversation devoted exclusively to his lifelong passion for choreographing ballet.
