Thank you to all who joined us at the Vogue Theater in San Francisco on Monday, October 22, 2012 to launch our nineteeth season of conversation and screenings of Words On Dance! The evening featured Joanna Berman in conversation with James Sofranko, with select screening from vibrant dance film makers. The full program is featured below.

We are pleased to announce that the Epi Center Medspa will host a silent auction during it's annual coat drive, Monday, November, 12 to benefit the completion of Freefall, a film by emerging director and dancer with San Francisco Ballet, Luke Willis. The film was previewed at the recent Words On Dance at Nineteen program.

Producer, Words On Dance
Words On Dance continues to follow the work of San Francisco Ballet Principal Maria (Masha) Kochetkova, and will premier new footage of her in studio rehearsal with Jorma Elo.
San Francisco Ballet dancer Luke Willis, and his brother Samuel, will preview Freefall, a new short dance film produced and directed in the San Francisco Bay Area and featuring San Francisco Ballet dancers Kristina Lind and Sean Bennett.
San Francisco Ballet dancer Shannon Roberts appears in the short film Prima, recently screened at the Tribeca Film Festival. Shot and directed by award winning director Miguel Calayan.
Award winning producer Judy Flannery presents a introduction to Dance Screen 2013 with San Francisco Dance Film Festival.
Bay Area treasure Ronn Guidi is the subject of a Legacy Oral History, a filmed interview of Ronn talking about his life in dance, and as the founding director of Oakland Ballet.
Yvonne Mounsey's legendary career in the ballet world will be shared in documentary footage will be featured to highlight her life.
Quinn Wharton, former San Francisco Ballet dancer and now a member of the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, presents a short film piece about pieces. It is an improvised exploration of the components of the body; a look at the emotional and kinetic gears grinding together.
